Its Exciting to Come Back Says AK Hungal

Amrapali Sharma (Ahmedabad Mirror; June 2, 2012)

May 25,2012 AK Hangal returned to face the studio lights after seven long years. Having reached the sets of a TV serial  Madhubala on a wheel chair, the 97 year old actor wasn't sure he would be able to  handle it physically. But Once the cameras started rolling there was no stopping the actor within .speaking about his experience, Hangal told ,"i have lived my life on the sets. and it was exciting to go back to one."
Hangal , who has starred in over 200 films in his career spanning more than half a century, revealed that the script urged him to take up the cameo."I have grown up seeing the industry .When the makers offered me the role of a veteran actor. Who ends up naming a newborn Madhubala,I instantly liked it. Though i never met the actress on whose life the serial is apparently based. she was alive when i started my film career. So, in a way .i connects with the era. I could identify with the character and was excited to return to the sets, "says the veteran actor.

Having made several special appearances in films over the years Hangal added,"Cameos have been a major part of my career. for example ,in the 1975 film Deewar, I was part of just one scene in which police inspector Shashi Kapoor kills a boy for stealing bread. I had only one line in the scene."
The actor had last shot for Amol Palekar's film Paheli’s in 2005.infact, he had not gone out of his house of the last eight months."We were surprised to see him get out of home . he would have done it only  for acting, "said his son Vijay and added, "My father had remained at home for the past few months. The show producer Saurabh Tiwari and senior executives from the channel came to our place to offer him the role. Several filmmakers had approached him in the last few years. but father did not take those up due to health issues."

However, this time around, the script lured Hangal to the sets. When contacted writer NK Abhyankar told mirror, “I had conceived the role keeping Mr Hangar in mind. We wanted someone who could identify with who could identify with 100 hears of cinema"

Learning English With Watching Movies

Hi friends this is my first blog in my life ever.in this blog i am going to explain you how you can easily speak English with entertainment. English is very demanding language in today’s market. Whether you want to get good job , Whether you want to go in media profession , whether you want to go in some other good profession. It is also tragedy that society gives more respect to this English speaking so called people. Many times it happens English speaking person get more changes than qualified (non English speaking person) person. Let me give you my example, in my college, at the time of campus placement even though i had good academic qualification (almost 75% throughout) i could not get good job because lack of English knowledge. Some of my Classmate who had good knowledge of English got selected   .That day i felt very bad. Today, fortunately i got chance so i am writing on this article. I hope it will be helpful for you.

Let come to the point. Although English is not though language but one find it tough because it is not our first language.
Following Points are required to speaking good English.
1). English Sentence formulation.
2). Proper Knowledge of Vocabulary.
3). Good practice of English Speaking.

This is the Human nature that he can learn easily with Entertainment. I say you to study for three hours at night after 12. It might be problematic for you but if i would say to you watch movies after 12pm .i think you may see it easily. Have you ever think why so?.

If you want to learn English the best way is watch Bollywood English movie and Bollywood Hindi movies with English subtitles. See this movie whenever you want. And also pay attention on formulation of sentences and vocabulary they are using. I am mentioning some of  Bollywood

English Comedy movie
which i have seen.
1).The King Of Bollywood .(Starring Om Puri ).
2).The President Is Coming (Starring Konkana Sen Sharma and Many Newcomers)
3).Monsoon Wedding (Nasiruddin Shah,Vijay Raj,Rajat Sharma, many more)
4). Bollywood Hollywood.

I am recommending these movies because they all are using very simple English and you can understand very easily.
There may be many movies you can search on Google, torrent, YouTube and ask to your friends.
But let me clear you one time watching is not enough. you have to  see these movies many times until you not remember the many dialogues of movie. After watching first time you can easily understand the story and after that you have to only focus on English .where you don’t understand English you can pause the video and rewind it to listening it more clearly. After listening over and over again you can slowly understand the sentence formulation and vocabulary according to situation.

If you are beginner, then i would not recommend you Hollywood movies at this level because their accent is very different from Indian accent. Beginner cannot understand it (sentences and vocabulary) very easily.

You can also see  Bollywood Hindi film but with English subtitles .in this type of movies you can easily understand the vocabulary and sentence formulation and synchronous translation of English it would also helpful for you so you can directly grab the English of Hindi sentence. You have to do this on regular basis. If  you will not keep continuity than it will not be helpful for you.
This manner will hike your understanding in English and sentence formulation. But in daily life you have to practice for speaking good English. So i suggest you to memorize English sentences of 5th (CBSE) standard. You have to memorize five of six chapters in this book .you have to memorize it regularly for one hour.

Today we are living in technically world so technique is other medium to learn English. There are lot of English tutorial on internet which can teach you English. There is a site on internet called speaking24.com.on this site you can chat with other English learner from other countries. I have not used this site so much one or two time i had voice chat with Pakistan, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Delhi. It is also good media to improve your communication skills.

Some of my personal Advice
1)  Always try to write mail in English.
2). Always try to chat (text) in English
3). Try to discuss some topics with your friend and family members in English
4). Try to read English News Paper every day.
5). Try to write English articles on internet.
6). Try to listen English Radio (FM).

Let me clear 5th point, internet allows you to share your thoughts, knowledge, views, reviews on any article.
